Starting a podcast about Zappa fans seemed like a great fit for Mal and Dawn. Both chatty, nosy and genuinely interested in Zappa and the people who follow him, they’ve been attending Zappa gigs and festivals together since 2009 and particularly enjoy connecting with other fans and freaks everywhere they go. Whether camping at a racetrack in Northern Germany or glamming up for a night out at a concert hall, it’s the people who keep this pair coming back to live gigs again and again.
Now they’re getting old and they’re taking advantage of technology advancements, social media and their collective know-how to record, collect and curate interviews and stories from across the Zappaverse and the globe… all from their cosy home in Gateshead, which they share with their five fluffy chickens, the ‘Sun Village Silkies’.
